FAQ
How do I get an image under 1 MB?
Choose “Maximum file size” and enter 1024 KB. If lowering quality isn’t enough, also set a longest side such as 2000 pixels.
Why doesn’t PNG get much smaller?
PNG is lossless. The tool reduces the number of colors to shrink it; for photos, exporting as JPG or WebP is usually far smaller.
What if the compressed file is larger?
That happens when the original is already highly compressed. The tool then keeps the original, so you never get a bigger file.
